TERRARA HOUSE, SOUTH COAST | 11th April, 2024

This modern meets vintage wedding at Terrara House on the South Coast was so much dang fun! If I could describe Billy & Billie’s (YES, they have the same name… I know, how CUTE!) wedding in three words, they would be FUN, COLOURFUL, and MODERN. Of course, it also had a beautiful vintage twist, being set at the historic Terrara House on the South Coast, creating the perfect blend of modern vibrancy with timeless charm.

These two high school sweethearts were hip-to-hip all day long—sweet, affectionate, vivacious, and so much fun! I honestly felt like a guest, and had the most incredible time capturing their love.

Terrara House is one of my favorite venues to shoot at; the stunning gardens, the hedge maze, and the old-world charm of the house make for the perfect backdrop for some truly incredible shots. Plus add into the mix, amazing colourful yet modern accents, and you have yourself the perfectly styled wedding! You can dive into all the goodness of this modern meets vintage wedding at Terrara House on the South Coast in the photos below.

Q&A With Billy & Billie

What’s your love story?

Billy and I met nearly 15 years ago when we were 14. We stayed friends up until we were about 18 years old, when Billy finally asked me on our first date. From that day forward, we have been inseparable. We believe that we are undeniably soulmates!

What’s your advice for anyone planning a wedding at Terrara House?

Trust the team at Terrara! They were the most helpful bunch. They made every step of our wedding planning process so seamless and nothing was too much to ask. We were so grateful for their guidance along the way and for allowing us such an stress-free wedding day.

Why did you choose the location to get married?

As soon as we viewed Terrara House we knew it was for us. We booked it via a Facetime call before even viewing it in person. It was everything we were looking for in a venue – it had a nice old vintage vibe and loved that it could sleep our closest friends and family, which made for a special few days celebrating.

What was your favourite part/memory of the day?

Our favourite part of our day was when we took 15 minutes after our ceremony together, just us two. After all of the nerves leading up to the ceremony, it was so nice to be able to just be with each other, decompress and spend our very first moments as a married couple together.

What aesthetic were you going for?

We wanted a vintage vibe, colourful garden party.

Who were your top 3 favourite vendors and why?

All of our vendors made our day so special. We continue to say how grateful we feel for all involved in our day because everything just went to perfectly. From the wonderful team at Season & Savour for putting on the most beautiful meal, to our beautiful bunches curated by the bubbly Mia from Mimi Floristry, to of course, Lauren, for capturing all of the magic moments of our day for us to cherish for a lifetime.
